Updates!! June 10th :)

So I had this whole post typed up earlier, but I accidently X'd out of it before hitting the post button and lost it, so I got kinda mad and decided to just do it later. xD

Anyways, I sprung a surprise live-stream out of no where yesterday to celebrate us reaching the 30k milestone goal. I've been wanting to do a live Q&A for a while, but I had kept procrastinating, and I finally sort-of got a hold of the whole streaming thing so I just decided to dive right in and go for it.

It went really well! We managed to get up past over 200 people at some point which was really cool so I got to answer a ton of questions. If you missed it, you can catch it on the Youtube channel. This went well enough to where I think we'll be doing it every time we reach a major subscriber milestone, maybe next time at 40k, 50k, etc.

Also, I know I gave really short notice, but I promise you next time I'll let you know like a week in advance!

I also used the live stream to officially reveal the release of the completely-free GaMetal V album both on BandCamp and on my website, with the 3 bonus remasters (FFVI Decisive Battle, Beginning  / Vampire Killer, MMX Maverick Medley) being exclusive to the full-album download on BandCamp.

I set the BC page up to where the album is free but people can donate any amount if they'd like. BandCamp gives you 200 free credits a month, meaning after the free downloads are used people have to pay at least a dollar for an album (or 50 cents per song), and we ran out of all 200 free credits within just a few hours! A lot of people threw down a few bucks for it as well, so the reception of V has been really great so far. I also went ahead and bought 300 more free credits for everyone. I think those should last us till the end of the month, but if they don't, I'll probably just get 300 more. xD

Also announced was the official launch of my new Twitch channel where I'll occasionally stream games (mostly Sm4sh) to play with everyone. This is, for the most part, a just-for-fun thing, so I'm not going full hardcore Twitch streamer or anything, haha. It's just something I'll be doing every now and then as a neat way to interact with you all and the rest of the fan base.

I had a stream earlier this morning and I just wrapped one up a few minutes ago, and they were both a ton of fun, I know a few of you stopped by as well so it was really awesome seeing you! As I said, with this mostly just being a fun thing, I don't really have a set schedule as to when I'll stream, so your best bet for now is to keep an eye on my Twitter where I'll tweet out whenever I go live.

I spent most of this week taking it easy to recharge my creative batteries (doing a lot of songs back-to-back can be pretty draining, same as last May. xD), mostly working on getting the streaming thing going (THE MOST OVER-COMPLICATED THING IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE), and catching up on the acoustic shorts (only a few more to go till we caught up for May!). I touched on CROWNED a little bit, but I'll really be going full force back into things when the weekend is over, so if all goes well we should have the next song up next weekend!
