Progress Report! July 31st

Hey Patrons!

With today's release of Solomon Shrine, another month is in the books. We've still managed to consistently get out 3 songs each month since January. We now set sail for what will surely be another great month in August.

Shovel Knight buried the competition in our latest Patreon poll, so the next song up will be Strike the Earth! (Plains of Passage). As always I'll still be doing the runners up sometime in the near future, especially Touhou which I really wanted to get a song out for sometime this year.

August is also the month of our now yearly NES Medley. This year, every Patron will get to submit an NES song to be in a drawing that will choose 10 songs to be in the medley. I will have the post for NES Medley song entries up in about a week or so.

Third up will be another randomly chosen song from the Patreon Request List. The drawing for this song will take place on August 5th. I'm going to try to start making the 5th of each month the official date for Patreon song drawings, and occasionally (especially after the Patreon Album is released) we'll be doing a second drawing each month somewhere around the 15th-20th.

Speaking of the Patreon Album, I've been working really hard on it! I'm working on all the songs at the same time. Right now I'd say we're about 25% there.

If we can manage a fourth song this month (it's never as easy as I think it can be xD), it will be Hopes and Dreams / Save the World from Undertale. It's the most requested GaMetal song of all time (if you thought C-R-O-W-N-E-D had a lot of requests, HaD/StW probably has double that many if not more than that), and I've been putting it off for a long time so we didn't go overboard on Undertale stuff, but it's time has come. If it isn't the fourth song this month, it will be the first song of September.

I've fallen a little behind on Acoustic Shorts again, but luckily I have a lot of time off from work this week so I'll be dedicating tomorrow and Tuesday if needed to getting caught up with those. So expect a massive amount of shorts coming within the next couple of days.

Lastly, I'm still debating what to do about full acoustic songs. My original plan was to have a sort of 'acoustic week' in August with something like 3 full acoustic songs in the span of a week, but I'm still up in the air about it. I'm definitely going to be doing more full acoustic songs sometime soon though.
