Patreon Meeting/Drawing stream recap!

Hey Patrons! (Yes, the thumbnail for the stream is hilarious, and I can't change it! xD)

Thanks to everyone who came by the stream earlier! For those of you who missed it, here are some highlights of things I discussed before the drawing:

-I set an interesting new Patreon campaign goal for us today: The Lucky 7 goal of $777. We're only $15 away, and the prize will be a Patron-determined Genesis Medley! Seven songs will be chosen at random from songs entered by everyone here. :)

-I began getting the artwork edits for the physical copies of Side-Quests 1 ready to do and don't have much to do. I plan on having everything ordered before this week is over.

-A lot of people have been asking if/when I'll be raising the limits on Tier 5-7. Currently my plan is to get caught up on acoustic shorts first, which I'm still far behind on. My plan is to get caught up within the next 2 months. When I do, I'll likely open some spots on Tier 5 and 6. Tier 7 will remain at a 3 person limit, since that's the Medley Entry reward tier.

-The chance of getting a song chosen from the Patreon Request List drawing is my number #1 concern with the Patreon campaign at the moment. The chances are just far too low for my taste and I'm sure many of yours. I don't want it to scare off anybody from lowering/dropping their pledge, or not becoming a Patron at all, so I'm incorporating some measures to help you all on Tier 3+ have a better chance of getting one of your songs chosen:

-We ended 2016 with 45k subscribers and are currently almost at 57k. Our next big milestone of 60k should come at the beginning of next month, and the current projection for the end of the year is around 75k. I'll be pushing for 80k+, but in general, the channel has continued to grow steady!

-Collaborations are something I mentioned wanting to do more of this year, and so far we've had two with Nirre and Andrew Wrangell. There are still more to come, and I'm pleased to confirm that the next collaboration will be happening very soon, and will be with Jerod Collins, aka The8BitDrummer! Jerod is an insanely great guy and phenomenal drummer. I reached out to him a month or two ago just congratulating him on all his success and offering to collab if he ever wanted to, he responded positively and said he'd get back with me once he had time. Well, he contacted me last night saying he's ready! I just messaged him back last night so I'm waiting to hear back from him, but once I'm 100% certain on the song I'll reveal it for you all here! I'm hopeful to get this one done sometime before July is over. :)

-I have 2 big projects that I'll be working on once I'm finished with GaMetal VI (which I'm still anticipating to be before this month ends). They'll remain top secret for now, and I'll only refer to them as Project Dream and Project One. Both of these are albums. I'm aiming to have Dream done by fall (September-November), and One sometime earlier 2018. I'll spill some more info on those when the time is appropriate. ;D

----------------------------------------------------------------------

After that, I basically asked what all you would like to see more of from me and gave the floor to you all. Several interesting things were brought up ranging from song-based things like more unique medleys such as console-based (IE. Gameboy Medley, PS1 Medley, etc), game-based (Ie. Mega Man Medley, Sonic Fan Medley), or even composer-based (for instance.. a medley of songs composed by Grant Kirkhope), or more full songs from old medley pieces (like how Ridley's Theme was once only an SNES medley song that was made into a full song), Medleys), songs from indie games, and some more softer songs (like Zoness). Also more interest in possible TV songs.

Some non-song-based ideas were things like GaMetal Shirts (happening soon!), and some more educational things like tutorial videos, guitar tabs, or a video of working on a song.

I took notes on everything and will be thinking hard about implementing the stuff you all suggested!

So those are really the highlights from the stream for those that couldn't make it. Thanks once again to all who showed up, it was a ton of fun!

I also mentioned towards the end of the stream, these highly detailed meetings will take place every few months, the normal monthly drawing streams in the future will be a lot shorter but I'll still take a few questions and stuff like that after the drawing.

I'm excited for what the second half 2017 holds for us. Thank you all for your ongoing support, none of this would be possible without you! :)
