The Fees are Not being instated!
Added 2017-12-13 18:40:34 +0000 UTCokay, so I just received a notice on twitter with an apology to Creators and Patrons about the fees that were announced last week. As of right now they will not be instating those fees, it looks like enough of us complained loudly and often and it got them re-thinking their position on this change. While I am very happy this isn't going into effect, I am cautiously optimistic about Patreon at this moment. I feel like a line was stepped over with all this, and while I intend to continue to use this platform, and share rewards with you all, I don't entirely trust Patreon at this given time.
Still I am celebrating! I really didn't want to loose the input I have with you all here, if anything I want to connect even more with you all. your support of me has been nothing short of fantastic and I really appreciate you! Patreon underestimated how we creators feel about our Patrons. You aren't customers to us, your much, much more than that!

That is a relief. I agree that it's wise to be wary, and I don't entirely trust them not to change their minds again. But it's nice to know that they will at least listen to us and change accordingly. I had planned to stick it out regardless, since it seemed unfair to withdraw my patronage for something that wasn't the fault of the artists I follow, but I'm glad to know you won't have to worry about this affecting you.
