GaMetal - Molgera (The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker)

The latest video is here: enter Molgera from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker!

This has been requested for several years, so I recently stuck it in one of our GaMetal Discord Request Battles, where it beat out Tal Tal Heights to earn a spot on the GaMetal line-up.

I did some interesting stuff with this one.. I did most of the percussion sounds by using my classical guitar as the drums, drum sticks and actually doing the 'chika chika' part. Also, I've heard the Hyrule Warriors version a handful of times and I loved it, but I made it a point to not listen to it while I was working on this version, because I wanted this one to be different enough to where it wasn't just a typical cover.

Obviously this does not apply to the ending which is straight out of the HW version. xD

I'll have an update post coming for you all soon to lay out the rest of the month. Until then, thank you all once again for your ongoing contribution and support! You're the greatest! :D

Really? The main theme does nothing for you? Dragon Roost Island? Ocean Overworld? The miniboss fight song? To each their own, I suppose, but I find WW’s soundtrack to be one of the stronger ones in the series, even accounting for my earlier comment about Molgera being pretty much the only actual boss song worth noting. ‘Sall opinion, I guess.

Oh, no wonder I didn't recognize it. Majority of Wind Waker songs are just completely dull and quiet.

I recently realized that I don’t actually remember a single other boss song from WW. Just Molgera. So I went to YouTube and looked them up, and now I remember why I can’t keep any of the others in my brain. They’re all extremely, almost aggressively, forgettable! It’s actually quite remarkable just HOW MUCH better Molgera is than all the other boss songs from WW. Especially considering how good the rest of the soundtrack is! This piece is fantastic as always, Jonny! That tempo shift in the middle is intense!

Ooo wind waker never played it lol

Outstanding track and the video made it even better. Really excited for the FFMQ remix, too.
