It's time to get this 100k celebration started with the first of 3 largely requested songs: Battle on the Big Bridge from Final Fantasy V!
The celebration will continue in a few days with yet another big request. I'm also gonna try to (finally) squeeze out some new acoustic stuff for you guys tomorrow (had every intention today.. but forgot Big Bridge is super hard so the guitar vid took me a minute, haha).

Thanks Zach! You know, I don't really take much of a different approach vs what I usually do. One thing I do try to do with the more 'known' (popularly remixed) songs is to make them a lot different from their more popular counterparts. Big Bridge for instance.. I don't think I've ever heard a remix that included the key changes from the Piano Collections version. So I thought it'd be pretty cool to acknowledge that, rather than copy stuff from say, the Black Mages version (which I never really was a big fan of). With Molgera, while I had heard the Hyrule Warriors version and loved it, I made it a point not to really listen to it much while I was working on it (with the exception of the key change section at the end), because I didn't want it to end up sounding just like the Warriors version. We already have that version, no need for a second one. xD Hope that makes sense!

2018-09-20 17:03:30 +0000 UTCI don’t want to discount a single one of your instruments because you did a *superb* job with each and every one of them here, but what really blew me away this time was actually the drums! I love that you really made the drums a key part of the song and not just something keeping time in the background. The whole thing was top-notch, though! How would you say that your creative process is different when doing super iconic songs (like this one or Molgera) compared to songs that maybe don’t have as much baked-in star power?
