Update Post! December 28th (Last one of the year!)

Hey Patrons!

The year is almost over, and there's one more song I want to get to before we finish up for the year, but I'll fill you in on that in a second. First let me thank you all once more for helping myself and the GaMetal community have yet another fantastic year! I wouldn't be where I'm at today without you all, and I can't stress enough how eternally thankful I am for each and every one of you.

I'm super stoked to get started on 2019 material, and have already determined what the 2019 Premiere Song will be... but I'll be keeping that one a surprise. You'll most likely be able to guess by the next end card teaser. :)

I will be using the GaMetal 2019 Song Ballot (which, by the way, is still open until Monday night) to determine a lot of my personal song choices outside of the Patreon Request List drawing winners next year. There are currently 1,200+ entries, and I've been checking in on it periodically and have already noticed a lot of songs that we should definitely get to, both from familiar series and series we've never done before. I will share and go over the complete ballot results with you all on the next Patreon Request List Drawing Stream next weekend.

I do plan on taking a small break for about a week from normal GaMetal songs at the beginning of January to go over the ballot and also work on several Atmacoustic shorts, since I really fell back on those again this month. After that small break, it's back to work on the 2019 premiere and Side-Quests 2, which I'm still trying to complete by February.

Outside of song news.. we have a new GaMetal Merchandise Design! This one's for all you GaMetal Kirby fans. It was created by Stingybee, who also made the Dreamland Invasion art (as well as Side-Quests 1 and the 2018 Pt. 1-4 art). You can get it here at the new GaMetal Gear store on Teespring.

We have even more stuff in the works coming to the GaMetal Gear store soon, and as always I'll keep you all updated when anything new arrives!

So now, what you're really waiting for... what is the 2018 Finale Song?!? I waited till pretty much the last week of the month before I made a final decision. There were quite a number of songs that could've fit the spot, but I also wanted to see how much time I had to work with after our previous 3 December songs.

The Darkest Lord from Miitopia! Early 2019 Song Ballot analysis shows that this is the #3 most wanted song at the moment. This also won a poll of most wanted song that was held on the GaMetal Discord a little while back, and as a result comes from the Patreon Request List of the Discord pledge account, GaMetal Sans Guy, making it December's official handpicked choice.

Again, a lot of songs could've fit in the finale spot, but I feel like this is the best I can make with the time I have. There are songs like Void Termina that easily could've fit the bill, but it doesn't look like I'd have enough time to do a song that complex. Darkest Lord is still a little complicated, but not as much.

That said, I do plan on doing one of those 'not-enough-time' songs as the 2019 Premiere, and like I said at the top of the post, that one's gonna be a surprise! You'll know on Monday. :)
