Kari Williams, Editor at Reserve & National Guard Magazine, is looking for news writers:
I'm on the hunt for some hard news writers for Reserve + National Guard Magazine โ specifically those interested in, and comfortable covering, deployments, unit training, legislation/policy, etc.
Rates for reported pieces typically range between $125 and $175, depending on the number of sources, the depth of the article and if it's for print or web.
I also do my best to provide at least an initial contact person, background information, other possible sources, suggested questions, etc., when giving out assignments.
Most pieces will have at least a two-week lead time.
