What's good, gang? With our first month down, I thought it would be fun to do a First Pass Edit of our very first episode.
A Little Context
This episode was originally released on the Scam Stuff channel with a whole lot of optimism that it would perform well, but as that channel was still very early in its life (it existed for just a few months and only had a handful of videos), there was a certain tempering of expectations.
Then the video was moved to the Scam School channel when we decided to start posting episodes over there. Then it was moved to the Modern Rogue channel when we decided to start that. Now this is back on the Scam Stuff channel, funny that.
The lighting was a complete debacle, our cork/bottle was a last-minute substitute, Jason had not yet acclimated to the "don't look at the camera" style, we had no idea what to do with the background so we just stacked stuff (although everything on the shelves was just Scam Stuff product), and you'll notice we shot episodes much faster back then, haha. The first episode of any iterative project is bound to be a mess in a variety of ways, but as far as things go I'm proud that we can look back and say we got out there and did the damn thing, and it was competently made despite being a little strung-together.
