In mid-August we met back up with Anthony in the Historical Weapons Guild's new space in Austin. It was a particularly warm day, and after filming this episode we went back to the warehouse to do the second half of the rock dead drop episode.
I always like doing FPEs of these HEMA episodes because there's so much practice in developing muscle memory that ends up getting cut, and some hands on direction that makes sense when teaching in person but would just inflate the runtime of the episode. There was also a whole bit about teaching Jason to hop that got scrapped.
Editor's note: there were a lot of regular audio spikes which I went through and tried to pull the gain down so it doesn't hurt to listen to, and you can still see their severity when they crop up in the waveform. Hopefully I didn't miss any, but just be aware.
