No face reveals here either, sorry. LPL dropped by to blow the guys' minds with how effortlessly he tore through those locks, and it was interesting from a production perspective.
For a show that's almost entirely structured around dialogue, how do you get away with not showing the faces of the people talking? LPL's channel is much more about doing, so I think it's an easier sell there, but we adopted his style simply for the logistics of not showing his face. We talked about a few other options (Austin Powers-esque obscuring, censoring, etc.) but this made the most sense.
We don't have a monitor for the crane shot, so I was especially peeved at just how out of focus that shot was for literally the entire video. We have a few more videos coming up and it's much better in those. I had climbed up on a ladder to set the shot up appropriately, but the camera was moved somewhere in the process. I ended up relying on that shot way less in the edit than I expected as a result. Whatever though, 50% of our viewers watch on their phone or tablet, so nobody really complained and I'm just old man yells at cloud over here.
