These last few pages felt eternal...If you've seen my twitter and participated in the polls I put up there you'll know that I've been really struggling with TOS, trying to find motivation and considering giving up on it for good to just lift the burden and move on to other, shorter projects I want to work on.
From this latest page (13) onwards I'm going to apply some changes to speed up the colouring process for the rest of this chapter, limiting the palette to relieve some of the stress of making full colour pages that I'm not really feeling any more. After that, I'll re-evaluate and think about finishing the rest of the story in written form with spot illustrations, which won't be easier given the amount of content I'd need to revise and reformat, but it will be faster and I might even finish the whole thing in one book.
I tested out how it would look by adapting some of the script and here's a sample:

It's a hard decision for me to make since TOS has been with me for a decade but it's just dragging along and stressing me out to the point where I've been dreading going to work on the comic.
After TOS, I'm also going to evaluate which direction I want to go in re: comic work, I'm no longer passionate about the same things I was 10 years ago or even 5 years ago and need a fresh new start somewhere. I still have a lot of stories to tell! I just want to rethink how I want to tell 'em.
