The finale to our fire eating series! Back in the new warehouse, and this time with a crowd. It was a hot Texas summer evening, so that combined with all the fire and the pools of sweat should come as no surprise.

We didn't originally intend for Jason's performance to be part of this episode, but after recording the teaching portion, we figured Jason's performance would be hard to justify existing in its own isolated video, so we pivoted and appended it. There's a more clearly transparent production style in the performance half, since I really wanted to show off the crowd dynamic and it's tough to do that without revealing the whole scene.

I really liked the idea that Brian's showcase video was devoid of a crowd, despite his professional career and years of experience being built on crowd performance, while Jason who's never done this act before in his life was dropped headlong into just that. It was a fun twist on their strengths, and I'm a firm believer in utilizing resources available to you, and the crowd was just there. Put them to work!
