This FPE has a runtime of 31:31, only... let's say 36.1% of our footage was used in the episode (the stats get a little weird when using a ton of clips from other videos).
This episode was a journey. The magnetic developer reveal is super neat and seeing the raw bits is completely rad, but how do we display this without revealing what is obviously sensitive data?
The footage from the computer actually was lost for some time, which is why this video was so far delayed. Luckily Babak was able to recover it just in time, and good thing too, because this video lives or dies on the visual a-ha. I spent most of Thursday just censoring stuff, but as a complete layman, it's actually kind of tough to even know what you're looking at when it's basically just a string of numbers. They guided me through what to take care of though, so hopefully we're pretty solid on that.
Some people noticed this episode didn't have any background music on it -- just before publishing, I noticed there was a small bit that didn't get censored, but should have, so I ran back to HQ to rush out a new render. The problem is, before I left HQ, I had set up the timeline for a "no music" render of the episode, something I've decided to do after the retrospective episode had me running back and re-rendering old episodes. I failed to remember that though, and re-rendered with new censors but no music. Whoops! I've already established some new protocol, so this shouldn't happen again.
And a quick aside about production, Bryce had to leave to... run to the store or something? Actually he might have been picking up lunch for the crew, since I think most of us were running on fumes. We decided to try to knock this out while he was gone and the timing worked out perfectly, so we were running one set of hands short but things still went relatively smooth.
