This FPE has a runtime of 1:59:43, only 20.5% of our footage was used in the episode.

This was a curious one, because Brian had a clear idea of the core conceit of the episode pretty early on (learning fundamental lessons as framed by mistakes to avoid) but because of a mentality the guys have of not walking through everything beforehand in an effort to preserve authentic reactions, the actual episode ended up being a bit unstructured and all over the place. I think the information is strong enough to hold its own, despite the lack of structure.

The intro skit was fun but a bit curious as well, since it was all improvised in the moment. We encountered some issues halfway through, where I had adjusted my camera and bumped the lens decoupling button, which automatically stops recording. Usually it would beep at you when recordings start or stop, but because it was plugged into an external monitor via HDMI, that feature is silenced. So when the skit footage cuts to just one cam, that's what I'm completely oblivious to having happened there. I like to think of it like they were doing a very serious rehearsal during that time, but there were some absolutely crucial shots during that outage, like the single take for the Sheboygan Pop (cue ball bouncing out of the pocket) that actually worked. So the skit ended up being a mix of different cameras from different times, but when you think about it, that's how all videos are made.

So if you want to see the real process of structural coalescence for a video, this is the FPE for you!
