This FPE has a runtime of 1:40:48, only 18.4% of our footage was used in the episode.
Since we can't post FPEs of the Zeta Provocation stuff yet, I thought I would dig back into the archives and make a FPE for an old episode. I chose this in particular because it holds our record for most consecutive cameras running (7), and because so many things went wrong while recording.
We got a few gopros, I think maybe specifically for these videos, and they all started to overheat and shut down during this video. Then large portions of our audio was unusable, because our Zoom had to stay in the trunk of the car so that whoever was driving would be in range of the mic receivers. This means that typically whoever was seated in the tent had no audio from their lav, or in the case of when Brian was on the sidelines, large stretches of maximum volume static. We also had our DJI Inspire in the air for a good portion of the recording, until either it or Brian's phone (or both) started overheating. At a certain point I just had to fly it by line of sight because the video preview completely shut down and stayed down for the rest of the day. This is why towards the end, it's just positioned high above the track in an effort to see as much as possible without needing to track the car. Oh, and I almost overheated as well. We had some water, but were woefully unprepared for the physical toll of the shoot. We were probably close to a medical emergency!
Did I mention it was hot during all of this?
To top it all off, the rad photos I took at the end of the shoot all got wiped off my memory card before they could be backed up. I probably formatted the card in a heat-drunk delirium. I assure you, they were phenomenal pictures, but unfortunately my assurance is all that remains.
Though, all said and done, couple of cool videos.
