We’re currently building a large financial glossary for our site and are assembling a cohort of graduate-level writers to help us produce accurate, trustworthy, and readable explainer articles.
THE ROLE
As a freelance writer, you’ll produce glossary entries that make complex finance and economics concepts crystal clear for readers (spanning beginners to professional investors). You’ll receive a byline and an author bio on GuruFocus.com to highlight your academic credentials and contribution.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Write 1+ glossary entry per week (typical length: 1,000–2,000 words).
Break down each term with: clear definition, why it matters, formula(s) with variables defined, worked example, common pitfalls/misconceptions, related terms, etc.
Ensure accuracy with citations to primary/authoritative sources.
Follow SEO best practices: title & description, FAQs, etc.
Collaborate with an editor and complete revisions.
Follow our style guide and terminology/notation standards.
