Character Designs - L.J.

Ok if you missed it: I'm working on writing a young adult comic called Wild Science (not the final name). I'm writing it and it's being drawn by Mary Verhoeven!
This is Mary's character design for L.J.! Here's the description about him I wrote:
L.J. - L.J. is not only his small town’s handyman, but also mechanic, vet, doctor, and literally every other job you can think of. He’s a wizard when it comes to tools and engineering and when he is working on the lab, it’s the physical creation of things he’ll be working on. A little quieter than Ty, he isn’t a pushover. He needs the scholarship otherwise college won’t be a possibility. L.J. has a strong and focused work ethic and always has a couple multitools readily available on his body. Physical Description: multiracial, cisgender man, and buff. He’s muscular and wears overalls that have seen some use. He doesn’t care much about physical appearance and should have a cute smudge of grease on his face often.
Such a cutie! This is my second time writing a comic and having someone else draw my characters/stories, and it really is a wild experience. I trust the artists I work with and every time I'm just so impressed by how they're able to capture the character's essence so easily!
