TWO new videos!

I’ve just posted a new video to YouTube. It’s the first a seven-part series called Riffing With Modes. As you might be able to guess, we’re going to explore writing and arranging strategies for composing riffs and complimentary sections, with a focus on working within a given modal tonality.

The song I wrote for the video is attached at the bottom of this post as an mp3, along with pdf’s and MuseScore files for the rhythm guitar and the solo.
The solo is tabbed out in more detail than normal, with pickstrokes and left hand fingerings included. It was really tough for me to pull this one off cleanly on my Strat- it took several days of practice and many many recording takes.

Holidays are coming up soon and things are going to get crazy, so it might be a while till you see me again. There is a slight chance I’ll have a short video up for Christmas, but if not I intend on either going straight to Riffing with Modes 2: Dorian Boogaloo or doing a video topic suggested by a Patron.
Either way, if you don’t hear from me before the holidays, I hope yours is great!
