Hi! It was helpful in one sense. I think I may have not fully fleshed out the question. It wasn't so much about shredding (although that's useful) it's more that when I'm picking patterns in writing new music, I just don't have a working understanding of how to pick. Meaning: if I'm interested in a fast repetitive picked sequence that outlines a chord or melody, are there basic "best practices"?i.e should I try 3 notes per string and then one note on the next instead of doing everything like a usually do with 2 notes per string? Things like that. Does that make sense?

2020-01-31 17:33:10 +0000 UTCI had every intent of catching the live stream, it even was a perfect time slot. I, however, totally spaced it. Next time I'll create a reminder or set an alarm or something. Sorry, Jake! I really enjoy your content. Catch you next time, I hope!
2020-01-27 08:31:32 +0000 UTCHi, I would love better technique for right hand work. ie. when soloing or impovising in real time, I just don't have a sense of when to use alternate picking or sweep picking....I often question how to be the most efficient.
