EDIT: This didn't turn out well. I had audio problems and couldn't fix them so I'm postponing the stream to tomorrow night (Aug 11th) to the same time, 8PM. Next week on Monday is still on schedule for 2PM. Thanks for those of you who showed up, hope to see you for a smoother lesson tomorrow night!

I have this problem pretty often, especially when writing on my acoustic. I usually try and see what it sounds like at different tempos, with a different meter (think 3/4 instead of 4/4), with faster chord changes, longer times between changes, bridging bass notes (or adding simple "licks" between chords), and occasionally just writing out a strumming pattern to attempt. All of these options will get your brain thinking and you'll likely find *something* within all of that which will stick.
