I'm working on a surf guitar backing track and picked F# Mixolydian for the key. I was working out the chords by writing the Roman numerals starting with Ionian V, but renumbering them for Mixolydian: I, ii, iiiΒ°, IV, v, vi, VII. Then I checked it against your poster and was a little confused by the flat 7 (bVII) shown there. Then I realized the bVII is there for comparison to Major. I understand the reason for this but was thrown off for a moment because there's a D# and E, so the E (VII) can't be flatted. Is it correct to "spell" Mixolydian with bVII and VII?

He'll question you if you believe LZ III is supreme. Rush is my #1 and I know despite loving DT I thought you said not a Rush guy and that's cool too. Obviously I'm biased as a bassist who sings and plays some keys.
