Megumin & Waterfall めぐみん＆滝

I bet most people don’t think “playing in the desert” when summer memories come to mind. Though I haven’t been there since I was a middle schooler, I used to play at a place like this. Somewhere, (though I won’t say where), there exists a little waterfall in a desert, that flows from a stream. The deepest end is maybe only 150 centimeters deep, and the desert climate keeps the water warm and refreshing all year long. The waterfall is short enough that it can be safely dived from, yet tall enough to provide shade to the pool below and there are shallow areas wherein tired swimmers can sit and enjoy the refreshing vapor-chilled breeze. Fish swim in the stream too, but not so many that it ever becomes crowded. It’s a truly beautiful place. One that I’d like to revisit. I don’t own a car, but at least I can return there in my imagination… While I’m at it, I might as well bring Megumin along. I tend not to draw backgrounds, but I thought I’d give doing so another try. I would like to get better at painting scenery. Thanks again for all your support, everyone!!! To let you all in on a little secret, this was not my first Pixiv account. I used to post under a different name, though I wasn’t as good at drawing back then and no one bothered to engage with my work at all. At any rate, I appreciate all of you. 夏の思い出といえば「砂漠で遊ぶ」なんて思い浮かばない人が多いでしょう。 中学生の頃以来行ってないけど、昔はこんなところで遊んだことがありました。どこか（どことは言いませんが）砂漠の中に小川から流れ出る小さな滝があります。一番深いところでも150センチくらいで、砂漠気候なので水は一年中暖かくて爽やかです。滝は飛び込めるくらい低く、下のプールに日陰を作るくらいの高さで、疲れた泳ぎ手が座って涼しい風を楽しめる浅瀬もあります。小川には魚も泳いでいますが、あまり多くないので混雑することはありません。本当に美しい場所です。また行きたいです。車は持っていませんが、想像の中では再訪できますし…ついでにめぐみんも連れて行こうかな。 背景はあまり描かないのですが、もう一度挑戦してみようと思いました。風景画がもっと上手くなりたいです。 みなさん、サポートしてくれてありがとう!!! 金銭面だけでなく（もちろん、とても感謝していますが）、注目度も高いです。私が描いたものを、もっと見るためにお金を払う価値がある、コメントを残す、ブックマークする価値があると人々が考えていることは、私にとっては報われています。秘密を一つ教えますが、これは私が初めて作ったPixivアカウントではありません。以前は別の名前で投稿していましたが、当時は絵が下手で、誰も私の作品に関心を示してくれませんでした。いずれにせよ、みなさんには感謝しています。
