Backgrounds!
Added 2023-06-16 00:21:51 +0000 UTCAlready working on some of those pin-ups. And believed or not, I'm doing one of my favorite things the background. I usually do the whole scene building from the ground up because if I've to be honest I don't like using maps.
I've a rather active imagination. And I tend to have a clear idea of what I want to do. So why hunt for the "perfect" map, when I can do it myself. This has a downside thought. Which is, doing things this way doesn't really allow me to create like a gazillion of alt angles like other artists do. Because the moment I move the camera from the main focus everything is a black void.
But as y'all can see things start super raw, a basic idea. Some props here and there to give some life. I keep building, adding things because I always like to go crazy with the little details.
And when I think the background is pretty much done. I play with the perspective, add some basic lighting. And the ending result is this.
