Optimizations, Optimizations
Added 2020-04-26 21:58:51 +0000 UTCHello. Just FYI, it may be another few days before I can get another build out. I tried a few things, like cloth and more characters on the Oculus Quest. While it works, it definitely requires more optimizations. Currently, I am optimizing the characters a bit more. I can get about 3 characters interacting before the FPS starts to dip below 72 FPS. I am hoping that I can get at least 5-7 at the same time. It seems possible, I post a few screens later in a couple of days.

yeah, the usual stuff. will probably try all I can to get the FPS stable. I remember reading that the Arizona Sunshine team pretty much only focused on the face since that's what people looked at most.

2020-04-27 07:09:40 +0000 UTCInteresting what kind of optimization are you doing if you don't mind me asking? Anything beyond combining meshes, texture atlasing, and/or LODs? I would have through mesh poly count optimization in there but that seems a lot less likely.
