The Masked Strength of Sect's Trash : The Lazy Second Senior Brother chapter 25

Chapter 25 Senior Brother, I wrote down all the people who bullied me in a notebook

Fang Xiao watched in disbelief as Lu Shaoqing’s shocked expression appeared on his face.

"Do you really think that little of me?" she thought, fighting the urge to snap back. "Would I really do something like that? Am I that kind of person in your eyes? Would I ever stoop so low as to withhold someone’s wages? Do I even need to do something like that?"

Dealing with someone like Lu Shaoqing requires a strong heart, she realized. Admitting defeat, Fang Xiao could only sigh and call for Xiao Yi.

When Xiao Yi heard that she no longer needed to work here, she didn’t look happy—in fact, she seemed disappointed.

"Leaving already?" Xiao Yi asked, her voice tinged with regret.

Lu Shaoqing looked puzzled. "What? Have you become addicted to working? Weren’t you the one who didn’t want to work in the first place? And now you’re disappointed?"

Xiao Yi giggled. "Second Senior Brother, I’ve actually grown to like working here. It’s something I’ve never experienced before, and it’s kind of fun."

Lu Shaoqing smiled and said, "Alright, but you only have one more month. After that, it’s time to return and focus on your cultivation."

Xiao Yi hesitated, then asked, "Second Senior Brother, can you really help me comprehend sword intent and reach the Foundation Establishment stage in just one month?"

Fang Xiao, who had been listening intently, was also curious to hear how Lu Shaoqing would respond. Over the past month, she had become friends with Xiao Yi, who had shared some personal matters, including how Lu Shaoqing had promised Ji Yan that he would help Xiao Yi comprehend sword intent and reach Foundation Establishment within two months.

But is that even possible?

Fang Xiao wanted to scoff at the idea. After all, many people struggle for years without breaking through a minor stage. Xiao Yi was currently at the eighth level of Qi Refinement and had only just broken through recently. After spending a month working in the restaurant, she now only had one month left to achieve these feats.

And not just one breakthrough—she was expected to achieve two breakthroughs while also comprehending sword intent.

"Is that even humanly possible?" Fang Xiao wondered.

Lu Shaoqing noticed Fang Xiao listening eagerly and turned to Xiao Yi. "I believe in you. Do you believe in yourself?"

Xiao Yi felt like crying. "Second Senior Brother, I don’t believe in myself."

"My Senior Brother is a genius, and so are you. But I’m nothing special. Why do you have so much faith in me?"

Lu Shaoqing shrugged. "You know you lack confidence, don’t you?"

"But…" Xiao Yi hesitated. "You promised Senior Brother…"

"I only said that to trick him," Lu Shaoqing admitted. "How else could I rescue you from his grasp and get those 1,000 spirit stones from him?"

"Really?" Xiao Yi felt a twinge of disappointment. She had secretly hoped that Lu Shaoqing had a way to help her comprehend sword intent and reach Foundation Establishment in such a short time.

"What did you think?" Lu Shaoqing asked, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "Do you think I’m some sort of celestial being?"

Fang Xiao, relieved yet slightly disappointed, felt a weight lift from her shoulders. "Thank goodness," she thought. "Everyone here is still normal, just a little crazy."

Lu Shaoqing then told Xiao Yi, "Wait outside for a bit. I need to discuss something with the owner."

Fang Xiao, seizing the moment, called out, "Xiao Yi, wait! Here’s your pay for this month—1,270 low-grade spirit stones."

Xiao Yi waved her off, "No, I don’t need it, Sister Xiao."

But Lu Shaoqing snatched the stones without hesitation and gave Fang Xiao a stern look. "You can’t just give up your hard-earned wages! Second Senior Brother will hold onto them for you."

Xiao Yi protested, "But, Second Senior Brother, those are Sister Xiao’s spirit stones. How can you take them?"

Lu Shaoqing replied, "Whose spirit stones? These are yours, earned through your hard work. We can’t let the 'capitalist' get away with them."

Fang Xiao, now intrigued, asked, "What’s a capitalist?"

"A capitalist," Lu Shaoqing explained, "is someone who profits without conscience—someone who exploits others, evades taxes, and manipulates the system for personal gain."

Fang Xiao rolled her eyes, frustrated by Lu Shaoqing's accusations. "Xiao Yi," she said, "your brother asked me to give him your pay, not you."

Xiao Yi looked at Lu Shaoqing without surprise. "This is exactly the sort of thing Second Senior Brother would do," she thought.

Lu Shaoqing ignored Xiao Yi's disappointed expression. "You’re still young. I don’t want you getting tricked by someone. Let me hold onto the spirit stones for now, and I’ll give them to you when you’re older."

Xiao Yi, disheartened, thought to herself, "I’m already sixteen, and you still think I’m too young? And if the spirit stones go to you, will I ever see them again?"

She had little hope of getting her spirit stones back. Fang Xiao, feeling exasperated, thought, "This guy is really shameless—he doesn’t even blush."

Fang Xiao asked Xiao Yi, "Are you sure you want to give up your pay?"

Xiao Yi sighed, "Forget it. Let Second Senior Brother have it."

Xiao Yi, born into a prestigious family, didn’t care much about the spirit stones. And since it was her Second Senior Brother, she was willing to let him take them.

Fang Xiao, disappointed in Xiao Yi’s attitude, said, "You silly girl, you should stand up for what’s yours!"

Lu Shaoqing interjected, "Boss, stop trying to drive a wedge between us siblings. Let’s go, Xiao Yi, before the 'capitalist' here corrupts you."

Fang Xiao stamped her foot in frustration as Xiao Yi waved goodbye to her and cheerfully followed Lu Shaoqing out.

Just then, Xiao Yi pulled out a small notebook from her pocket and said, "Second Senior Brother, if anyone bullies me, I made ure to write it down here…"
