Updated Square Mile Discount Code

Hi all,

UPDATE: I should have been clearer for new folk - this doesn't work for equipment or subscriptions, just coffee on the main page. Sorry!

UPDATE 2: Apologies if this shows up in your notifications again. I had to update it because it turns out the preview for people who hadn't joined Patreon still showed the code. (I'll be having words with Patreon about this.)

Just an update to your Patreon discount from Square Mile (it lapses every three months or so).

Here it is: PATREONAEA2010

Hope the year is starting well for you all!

James

Yeah sad to say it seems to have expired

Any chance of an updated code for Easter?

Matthew Bingham

Same here, it's expired.

This one seems to be expired now, tried PAU2010 to no avail (I'm onto your codes!!!) maybe it's not defined in the system yet...

No it's not. A 350g bag of filter blend costs £12.50 whether you buy it direct or via subscription.

The subscription ist already discounted so it seems fair to offer a discount only on items which don’t have thin margins

Is there any specific reason for not allowing the code to be used for subscriptions? Filter blend is £12.50 a bag regardless of whether you order it as a one-off or on a weekly subscription. So I'm just going to order it once a week with the discount code rather than signing up for a subscription...

Thanks for the links to coffeereview and angel cup!!

I ended up placing an order last week and, unbelievably, I got the shipment in two days from roast and ship! What a pleasant surprise! For the record, I used DHL. Also, there were no extra customs fees of any kind; only the shipping fee. I'll be ordering again in the future for sure, as the beans are fantastic.

Check out Angel Cup if you want to know more about US roasters. You get 4 small bags of coffee to try from roasters all over the US. It's a great initiation into 3rd Wave coffee. Selfishly I'd like to suggest Georgios in Farmingdale, NY - my "home roaster" and while I still buy beans from SM, Onyx, Cat/Cloud, and others, I always come back to them especially for central/south American cultivars.

A bit late here, but I'll echo the post above. No issues shipping, but times will vary from one order to the next, Usually, I get the coffee about 1 week from roasting. I will also say SM has some of the most original or unique cultivars and varietals I have come across.

As an SEO consultant I concur with Eduard, what Google shows you as 'best' is rarely best, it's just a page that's well optimised. And usually it's an affiliate page!

Thanks Eduardo. I’ll check it out.

Square Mile coffee is great. USA has a lot of great roasters as well. Both of these statements are true. Check out https://www.coffeereview.com and other reputable lists. Do not search Google for "American espresso" or "best espresso" - the same 10 crap brands of coffee have monopolized all the search results, same as searching for "best XXXXX" for any product. The search results are all junk.

Ordered a few times some weeks & months back, no problems. Shipping fees are what they are...reasonable but not as cheap as ordering from US roasters or picking up from down the street. Shipping took around 5-10 days I believe, so perfectly OK since most people start using a coffee 5-7 days after roast date anyway. Shipping to other countries (Middle East, Asia etc) could be 1-3 weeks due to delays. Important note: roast date on package is Euro-style, so no need to be alarmed by say 9-1-2021: it was NOT roasted in the future though that would be pretty dmn fresh.

Thank you James. I am excited to try some new coffees. Farm country USA doesn't have a lot of choices.

thank you, I will order when I can.

Thanks James! Ordering tonight! ✌️

Thank you James!!

Also would love to place an order from the US on the East Coat. Would love to hear what others have observed in terms of shipping time.

Does anyone from the US have experience ordering beans from Square Mile? If so, were there any extra fees you had to pay? I know there will be an inherent delay shipping from overseas, but I really want to support them. Also sorry if this is common knowledge: I'm new here. Thanks!
