2 Competitions, Winner Announcements & News

So, lots to talk about here - I figured it would be less annoying for everyone if I bundled a few things together so you didn't get a string of post notifications.

Two Competitions

First off - there's a couple of things that are going to need homes to go to:

Win A Delter Press

Win A Cafelat Robot

Winners

Congratulations to the winners of the smart scales, I had to wait a little bit to get confirmation from all winners so sorry about this (plus I'm a little behind too). The scales are going to:

August (USA), Jordan (UK), Joseph (UK), Timothy (Singapore) and Alex (UK)

I contact winners through the Patreon messaging system, in case you're curious about the future.

News

I've been wrestling long and hard with the top tier of Patreon. I'd kept it limited because I wanted to try and deliver some more intimate rewards that didn't scale well. However, I've really struggled to get the Q&As done as producing the other videos has been a priority of my time. I've recently moved my studios (the eagle-eyed might have noticed a subtle change in the back wall) and I should be able to build at least one more set inside the space that will open up the potential to do more videos. (Also, I went to a YouTuber type conference and did a one on one with Panasonic and they gave me a camera! Madness... So I can build out the second set in a way that's even easier to make more videos. Plus I'm going to try and work with someone to speed up editing.)

The goal is more videos, but also better videos. I don't want the quality to drop, but I'm drowning in ideas and I want to turn them into things. This is where things like ad reads are being reinvested in the channel.

How does this relate to Patreon tiers? I'm going to add a couple more rewards to the top tier, such as members picking the coffee and also the equipment I will use in the Dialling In Espresso series. I'll also be offering slightly deeper discounts on merch (again, you might have noticed a new poster appearing in the background, coming very soon!)

Your feedback is welcome. I cannot express how much I appreciate all of your support, how grateful I am for what it is letting me do. We hit 100k and that's wild, and I appreciate you all so much. (I won't get my Silver Play button for months sadly, even if they do decide to issue one...)

Thank you,

James
