3/8 Update + Future Content Poll
Added 2019-03-08 23:18:31 +0000 UTCHey what's up everyone!
Before I get to this week's update, I have a poll for you, concerning the future direction of the channel. Before you decide though, a little context:
Last year on the anniversary of the What a Deck, I decided to make that show bi-weekly, both so that I could focus on making the decks better, and so that I could have time to work on other stuff.
Overall I'd say the plan worked. In the last year I only had one deck that had a lower win rate than 5/10, and I even got my first 10/10 episode! I also took the time to make discussion videos, a couple episodes of Dumb Decks, and even a pair of custom archetypes (As well as a bunch of funny #Yugipoops).
That being said, none of that seemed to help the channel much. The better decks didn't draw any more views, and the new content wasn't any more popular than What a Deck.
As we approach the end of year 4, I'm trying to decide if I should cut out all the bonus videos and just focus on doing What a Deck every week, or if I should continue to have a diverse Yugioh channel with different kinds of content. Both have their pros and cons, and I'm good with either choice, so it's up to you!
Since you all pay to support the channel, I figured I'd let you help decide. What do you want to see more in 2019? A whole bunch of What a Deck? Or some What a Deck, with other stuff sprinkled in?
Anyway, with all that said, here's your update for the week!
- Tonight's bonus video will be a Legsplay Animated by our own Stoic Steve; probably his best work yet. It's not very long, but hopefully you'll enjoy it.
- Tomorrow's DBC will be Hardleg Vs Drewmanian in a battle that uses only Cyberse-type monsters, but no links!
- After that will be the Saturday Night Yugioh stream as always, where I'll be deciding if the next What a Deck should be Metaphys or Abyss Actors.
- On Sunday I may do a bonus stream where I take a look at the Squid Monument, but we will see.
- On Monday more Hollow Knight over on Legsplay as James enters the Crystal Caverns.
- And on Wednesday we'll have a return to CRAWL, the competative co-op dungeon crawler requested by Chris W.
- Finally next week's What a Deck will be Infinitrack Toolbag Featuring Bootleg Drew! I haven't recorded it yet, but it should be a ton of fun regardless :)
Anyway, that's it for this week, thanks as always for your support, and I'll see you next time!

I'd say, in the risk of burnouts, keep everything the way it is. Bi weekly everything while throwing in some curveball videos into the mix. I honestly still believe you'd do great in discussion videos/ Ted talks cause people like to hear what you want to say.
2019-03-09 00:25:53 +0000 UTCi would say focus on the what a decks, but i also really love the "dumb decks" cause its a shorter form video that i can watch between league games or something :P and i also like the DBC since we get to meet the whole crew. so maybe make DBC bi weekly and WaD weekly? i dont know how much time each different episode takes to record but im still gonna watch whatever you choose to put up ^^
