I love this episode. Thais Hvid has some incredible insight into Muay Thai for how much experience he must have if he's getting into the art as recently as he has! If you read this, Thais, thank you! Kevin, your interview style has kicked off a train of thought for me (and a possibly presumptuous suggestion). Part of what makes your interviews fun is the dialog as you react to the other person's insights. Excitement for the ideas seems to compel you to respond and build off of the other person's ideas. I'd love to see you in the frame and I think it would fit naturally with the fairly assertive style you have now. Some of your questions have long setups, and you tend to contribute insights that reflect the explorations you and Sylvie have in instagram posts, Sylvie's technique blogs, etc. It seems like every interview fits into whatever dialectic you are pursuing, the books you are reading, your conversations with other people, etc -- and you are a participant in contributing insights and context. Plus, it's a tiny bit awkward to watch someone react silently for 15+ seconds of a question; watching you wrestle with the ideas before pitching them back to the other person might allow us as viewers to respond to your gestures, expressions, etc alongside the guest. Then again, perhaps the intention was to put the spotlight completely on Thais Hvid, so perhaps my suggestion isn't the right way to go. Either way, great conversation. I'm inspired to dig back through patreon and find all of the interviews I haven't listened to yet. If you made it this far -- thanks for reading!
