I figure today is a good day for a text post! First things first - You 12 are AWESOME <3 Thank you for believing in me and being interested in my work enough to give me a monthly stipend. That is really awesome and I can't express how special it makes me feel! My days lately have been filled with Art Director duties for my day job with Tail Kiss Studio, who you might know better as the guys that make Furoticon. We're actually a VERY VERY small team. It's just myself, Seppel and Callista. Anyways, I've been preparing for our set which will be released January 2015, which is completely under NDA, so I can't give any details, and I don't want to ruin the surprise! Most of this work has been all me, though Callista double checks it all and helps me in my blind spots (specifically I assume people will know more than they do through some form of mind reading, I suppose). In the past few weeks I've done the following: - Completely wiped the artist roster and gone through all new and old applications to bring together a current team. - Reworked all the artist organization. - Made character moodboards for all existing characters. - Reorganized the art delivery workflow for the card game - Wrote base descriptions for -all- the cards for the Jan 2015 expansion based on character popularity, card flavor and lore. - Wrote the first draft of final descriptions for half of the cards for the Jan 2015 expansion - Big preliminary work on budget - Wrote portfolio reviews for artists, that we could not hire this year, that requested them - Designed and assigned out the settings for the several lore tracks for the Jan 2015 expansion SO IVE BEEN A LITTLE BUSY (8 I've fallen behind on a few other projects due to this, and I feel pretty awful about it... but people have been very understanding.
