Hey Patrons! It seems you would like some more insight into me as a person, so I'm copy pasting this over from Tumblr. I just got back from a quick trip to Seattle so I'm not quite up for writing a big ol' blog, but here's a quick casual snippet along with an important personal piece. - - - super ego ego id sigil, the equivalent of my super ego, has been my public face for years. hardworking, sexual, confident, relevant. neg, my id, embodiment of fears, anxieties, abandonment, everything ugly and awful i think about myself and the intentions of others. there's gotta be a balance, something in the middle. hey Mel, nice to meet you i spoke about this some on Twitter, but i should say it again here. i'm genderqueer/nonbinary. i am not going to be upset if you continue to use female pronouns in regards to me (the artist/Melissa), but i would prefer if you used my name (sigil/sig/siggy/mel/melissa/etc) or "goat" over "she/her". i will fuck up here too, it happens. the summary is I prefer: "sigil is a cool goat" over "she's a cool girl" i hope that's clear! figuring this stuff out takes a long time, and i couldn't do it without the support and patience of my friends. if you've been one of the folks to listen to me bitch about gender stuff, you have my serious thanks. i love u
