Also, they sent the Sears catalog to most, if not all, households. It may have only been people who ordered or bought from Sears, but that was EVERYONE.

2020-11-12 22:08:52 +0000 UTCAs an official old person (I was 10 in 1975), I can attest to how important the Sears catalog was. We used it to create comprehensive Christmas lists! Do I remember this controversy? Not at all. If it was discussed, it was only by adults. My four siblings and I had no interest in the men's underwear section! LOL
