YES CALL 911, I would offer 2 points 1- The bus driver may not want to alert that the driver did not call 911. It's a form of discreet signaling. Did you know that there are discreet codes that pilots will put on their transponder to alert Air Traffic control. Some ways its used is during ahijacking, or emergency on board. There are stories of cashiers alerting customers if there is a robber in the store. Have you heard of people signaling to 911 operators that an abusive partner is present. Some will call 911 and order a Pizza. This is a usual signal. Buses in other countries like Israel are often bombed. 2-I am a Paramedic and one way a 911 call gets more priority is if there are multiple callers. House fires that have many neighbors calling it in, it can uptick, that it isn’t a real false alarm. Thank You

i got on a bus with this displayed in my shyer days. i was technically an adult though, so judgement warranted. i was on edge, staring down every person around me, wondering if we were in a speed-esque situation, etc. until multiple concerned passengers pointed it out, only to find that it was *stuck* that way. that or the driver couldn’t be bothered to change it.

Just started supporting as a patron and it felt serendipitous that this was the first Overunderstood episode I saw. I work for a company that provides technology solutions to transit agencies like the MTA. So exciting to hear other people geeking out over the minutiae of how transit systems and buses work.
