Chapter 92: Higher Ambitions

I do not recall her actually ever being that deluded on politics. she was not aware of the financial situation. however that could be explained she never kept track of finances regarding commoners and thus the floor fell from under her. It could also just be that the financial issues came by storm. I doubt mass amounts of field ruined by magical plague is a typical occurrence. and it has been mentioned that is not the only thing their kingdom is being hit by. The issue with the main city for instance was caused by third parties interfering that hardly anyone knew were even there. The story plays with this sometimes with Juliette dismissing that noble that was in charge as irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. only for background stuff to reveal she was correct as they were being held up by outside forces.

She mentioned it a dozen chapters ago too iirc Juliette is strangely self aware for how deluded she is.

Also was it just me or did Juliette seem different in this chapter? I did like that she acknowledges the decades of national policy eroding Aquila’s identity! It’s orogress

You know for someone who could look away from crazy Fae bullshit because there were no clouds promising rain for her orchard we haven’t seen much of it! Unless it was mentioned in more detail I’m the beginning it’s been awhile

Wait. is it possible the fae or some force deliberately led them to stop near the fire mage? I would not be surprised if there was some force there that made it not a coincidence at least. That also answers my question why they did not just have an A rank or even S rank fae around that could not just stomp Ophelia.

Adventures sure. but I did not hear about men betraying each other there. we have not heard of court drama there either. Honestly it is not much a hero tale if everyone is the hero. but maybe she is looking towards that anyways.
