2024-09-19 10:34:33 +0000 UTCYeah Andy’s definitely not afraid to let it rip. Last year in the one game he started he was like 34-51 with 361 yards and 2 TDs. Which I don’t blame him, especially as a backup, like what do you have to lose? But where JT highlights the parts where there’s opportunity to push the ball down the field and Bryce just opts not to, Dalton’s probably yeeting it down the field lol but again, is it good QB play? Or is he just slinging it because he’s got nothing to lose?

2024-09-19 07:36:02 +0000 UTCI’d be interested in your Dalton take in Week 3 for one reason: does Dalton let the play develop more than 2 seconds and take intermediate shots or deep? The OLine looks much improved, but not sure there’s much WR separation even with another 0.5 seconds, so I’ll be interested if that’s part of the benching. Bryce could be shell shocked and won’t hang in pocket for the deep balls

Very surprised you didn’t make any comments regarding him not choosing to step up and into the right of the pocket. Seriously go rewatch there isn’t a single defender near Bryce in that direction. That’s why Thielan was so frustrated

2024-09-18 03:34:32 +0000 UTCJT you’re making too many excuses for Bryce. Obviously he’s not in the best situation. But he has not even shown flashes of being a franchise QB. He was the lowest pressured QB in the nfl last week, and he still looked terrible.

2024-09-17 17:13:25 +0000 UTCAs a panthers fan, I really wanted Bryce to succeed and who knows, this benching could help turn around his mindset, but it was time to change things up. 13 points in two games is horrid and Bryce looks scared to take a shot down field and it’s tough to blame OL when he is throwing the ball out before even getting pressured. Dalton made one start last year and threw for 350+ yards, something that would take Bryce 2.5 games to achieve. I really hope Bryce can turn his career around (whether that be with Carolina or not) but it is time to see if Dave Canales offense can operate with the right QB

2024-09-17 03:07:50 +0000 UTCI think there's a dialogue to be had of whether or not Dave Canales trusts Bryce to begin with, which is why a lot of the calls were short passes on the first read early in the game. If he felt limited then I get the change. I also think that Canales might not have liked the footwork even though that's been a point of emphasis all off season...He didn't really elaborate on the details of the decision and I hope it's his not the owners.
