2016-07-20 13:03:53 +0000 UTCOn one hand I agree with you but on the other hand I think that what most people are trying to point out is that it rly isn't happening normally. It seems that its happening like this or not at all. I don't like it but I haven't seen a lot to indicate that it will happen "naturally" in any sort of timely manner. I'm not saying that hollywood trying to cache in on an under served audience by shoe horning in a gay character is ideal but maybe it will create a new era where it doesn't even occur to people NOT to have a gay character

How is changing the sexuality of an existing character any less offensive than introducing a new gay character just for the sake of introducing a gay character? It's one thing if the writer of the movie is gay or an actor is gay and says "hey can we make my character gay?" but, a bunch of progressives just trying to pander and peacock how progressive they are just seems like it would be offensive to me if i was gay. We're trying to sell the gay is normal thing but, the fact that Hollywood is still deliberately forcing the issue is kind of detrimental to that whole thing because they are actually point out the abnormality of lack of gay characters. If it's gonna happen let it happen naturally not through some PR stunt like this.
