Such a classic! Your commentary helps me appreciate the artwork more, so I thank you for that. In The States, unfortunately, not all animal shelters are "no kill" shelters. The ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) tries to help place shelter animals so they're not put down. That's how I ended up with Bourbon, Whiskey, Daiquiri and Mojito. (Cats, not drinks.) I have put myself on cat probation. If I got a 5th, not only would that officially put me in the "crazy cat lady" category, but people would suspect I'm an alcoholic crying for help.
