Only the devil knows where it will take them this time

Oh thank u! Nice to hear that ^^
Actually, I didn't even think about it before... I just like drawing this and details. It's like a kind of meditation, during which I think about the plot of the drawing and my characters. Unfortunately, I can't attach pictures in the comments, so I can't show my old drawings here. But I think the main thing in this matter is a few very simple things:
1 - it is good to know what the basic element you need consists of. What straps it is assembled from and what this or that strap is responsible for.
[At one time, I had to learn a lot about the parts of a horse harness when I volunteered at a stable. And one girl did not assemble the bridle correctly after washing. After that incident, the owner gathered us all and began to clearly show us what was what (although with my love for horses, I already knew all this xD ]
2 - try to understand the shape of the object on which you put the tack. It should fit the shape and not violate the volume of the picture ~
Of course, it is also good to understand the properties of a particular material: leather bends smoothly and elastically, iron is heavy and hangs.
My drawings and visions are also far from ideal, but there is absolutely nothing perfect in the world. Therefore, you should just enjoy what you do and sooner or later you will see the result.
Practice is very important ♥
(My first straps were flat and funny :D )

The details are amazing 💕💕
Do you have any tips for drawing tack? It’s the hardest part for many artist (myself included) but you always manage to draw straps/bands/textures flawlessly
