Patreon FAQ/Updates

Hey Everyone!

What a weekend, amirite?

First all, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who watched the stream on Friday. We were blown away by your love and support and we can't thank you enough! 

Now that I've fully taken over managing the Patreon accounts, I have a couple common questions I want to address for specific tiers:

-Exclusive Show subscribers: thank you so much for being flexible with us while we reworked the rewards for that tier over the weekend. We appreciate those of you who approached us about concerns about that tier respectfully, and we think returning the Comic Book Club and adding the newly announced Video Game Club are worth your subscription!

We’re also still working on the Reddit integration for Kinda Funny patrons. Each subreddit can only be linked to one Patreon page but I’m working with Patreon to see how we can fix that! 

-Bronze subscribers: I saw some concerns from $5 patrons regarding rewards and the movement of the early audio to the silver tier. At this point, we've decided to keep all of the early access content with the Silver subscription, however, since all patrons got charged before we announced these changes, we'll be uploading ad-free audio for the Kinda Funny Podcast for Bronze subscribers for the month of January. It will not have the pre- and post- shows that the Silver subscribers get, but we felt that we owed it to you to fulfill your original pledge rewards. 

Participation threads: Each month we'll put up separate participation threads for KFGD/Internet Explorerz/In Review/KFAF/Debatable/Screencast. We'll use those threads ALL MONTH. We'll be utilizing the Patreon tagging system so you won't have to scroll through crazy amounts of posts to find them at the end of the month. We'll also have them attached to kindafunny.com/ URLs for ease of use as well. :) 

-Silver subscribers: You'll be getting ad-free versions of the Kinda Funny daily shows in your Patreon RSS feed along with the Kinda Funny Podcast. Patreon doesn't currently allow for multiple RSS feeds on one account, so it'll all feed into the one. The link for the ad-free YouTube video is in the description of the audio post. 

 -Gold subscribers: Your RSS feed will also include ad-free versions of KFGD every day!    The link for the ad-free YouTube videos will be in the descriptions of the audio posts.  

I'll be scheduling out the monthly hangout for the end of the month. We'll alternate between doing it after the daily shows (around 12pm PT-ish) and doing it at the end of the work day (5pm PT-ish) so we can accommodate different time zones as much as we can. 

-Platinum subscribers: I'll be reaching out closer to the middle of the month for shirt sizes from y'all! We generally don't start mailing these out until the next month, but as soon as I have a better idea of a fulfillment schedule for these, I will let you know!

-Patreon producers: we fulfill producer roles the month after you pledge (i.e. everyone who pledges in January will be show producers in February). It's the easiest way for us to keep track of everyone and make sure we're not missing people who pledge later in the month.
