LOTR in Review Update
Added 2020-05-28 23:15:51 +0000 UTCHey y'all--
As we've been watching and working on the plot for LOTR this week, we've realized that the extended cuts are LONG AND DENSE. We've decided to extend the series from three weeks to six and have each episode cover half of the movie (AKA where the first Bluray ends for those watching that way). If you're watching digitally, we've figured out the time breakdowns below:
Friday, May 29th - Fellowship of the Ring pt. 1 (Beginning to 01:45:00)
Friday, June 5th - Fellowship of the Ring pt. 2 (01:45:00 to the end)
Friday, June 12th - Two Towers pt. 1 (Beginning to 01:46:00)
Friday, June 19th - Two Towers pt. 2 (01:46:00 to the end)
Friday, June 26th - Return of the King pt. 1 (Beginning to 02:07:00)
Friday, July 3rd - Return of the King pt. 2 (02:07:00 to the end)
Elyse will still be joining us for the full run of the show so that's exciting! See you tomorrow!

2020-05-29 07:04:50 +0000 UTCSo glad you guys are doing it this way. Excatly the way I would want non-fans to consume the extended editions.
2020-05-29 05:20:07 +0000 UTCTo be fair, this trilogy feels longer than the entirety of SW Ep. I-IX 😅

2020-05-29 03:41:45 +0000 UTCGreat call, this way you're not rushing to squeeze in everything that happened, pushing back other podcasts/shows that need recording.
