This is a great episode. In my own work situation we have 1 person who is black among a big group. He grew up in a similar socioeconomic situation as the rest of us, but in these days we are kind of collectively putting so much pressure on him to represent a huge group of people and help educate us when in fact he has more in common with us. I think about these same pressures being put on Andy and Kevin. They both have such an important role to the audience to share their experiences, and help, even though it’s also really unfair and maybe accidentally biased to expect them to represent different cultures and perspectives. I appreciate the focus this week, and helping people learn. All the advice in this episode about starting out on a career path is super universal. Thanks everyone.
