이 생명체는 슬라임처럼 보이지만 사실 곰팡이다. 황색망사점균(블롭)의 종류중 하나이지만 차이점이 있다면 블롭은 죽은 나무를 먹지만 하지만 이 블롭은 사람을 특히 인간 소녀를 주로 사냥한 뒤 잡아먹다. 사냥 할 때 먹이(인간 소녀)가 보이면 위에서 덮치는 방식으로 먹이(소녀)를 포획, 먹이의 몸을 덮어버린 뒤 소화액을 분비한다. 일단 블롭에게 덮이면 그 부위는 소화액에 의해 녹아내리기 때문에 슬라임으로 불리기도 한다. 최근 연구소에 연구중이던 블롭 하나가 탈출 했는데 현재까지도 찾지 못했다고 한다. 그리고 동시에 실종된 소녀들도 매우 많이 늘어났다.
