History of Guardia, a basic rundown.
Added 2017-11-15 15:46:42 +0000 UTCSo before I start posting up some of the old development stuff, I think some of you would like to hear a story I always tell no matter what website I'm on.
I think it would be nice to just have something to look back at and see how far I've come as a webcomic artist because, man, this has been my dream and I honestly wouldn't be here living it if it weren't for you guys!
Before I even considered Guardia to be a webcomic, I was just a college student in for animation and children's book illustration back in 2011.
Back then, Yggdra used to be a character I used for my cartooning class, she's come a long way since then!
These are some of her very first concepts! I can't believe I didn't give her a nose, whoa!
But as you can see, this was also what kinda gave birth to the idea of the cadet uniforms. Back then, Yggdra used to be a merc for hire in training!
Her design changed just a bit more in 2012 and I've continued to tweak her design all they up to even now.
Afterward, I began liking her idea so much that I made her an ask blog, along with two other characters, and some others that came along the way!
The blog was a random way for me to test out what it would be liking having her in a different type of setting, and I settled on a sort of academia kinda thing.
After the blog ran for a good few months, I ultimately loved everything about it so much, that I deleted the blog, and started world building for a year.
So now we have what we got today after all this time!!
