As ya'll may know (or if I didnt' say here, then you'll know now.) I've been in a bit of an art funk, so I haven't been able to produce any work lately. So I figure I take some time to talk to you guys about my thoughts, it may help the process along.
For me, I have this belief that the art community is all about helping each other learn and grow from our own experiences. At best, I've always thought it was always like friendly competition!
We're a continuously growing community with a diverse amount of people who have a diverse amount of of skill sets, who create for other people and show our passion through the things we produce. But we also help others who are learning grow, by sharing our techniques, sharing our thoughts, and sharing our own backgrounds as to why we do the things that we do.
When I joined Patreon as a webcomic artist, I was always on this sole believe. To be able to make stories and comics in the long run, maybe even as a full time job, has always been my dream. Patreon has been a place for me to be able to, hopefully, see that dream become a reality.
It's heightened my experience as a creator, and has me feeling more involved in the webcomic community than I ever have before, even if I'm just a small time artist trying to get by. I've used my own idols as fuel and motivation to create this very page, so that way I may share my dream for those who enjoy the work that I do.
As we come together, we create our own little community, and our own way of supporting each other in the process. You guys have no idea how much it means to me when I post here and get to share my thoughts
and ideas. And thats what I want to continue doing to this very day, no matter what things may come my way.
I've seen Patreon as a platform to help the art community grow as a whole, and as well as helping and watching the people you support grow as well.
I feel as long as we keep that in mind, we'll be just fine.
;v;/ Thank you guys for your conitnued support and I hope to do more for you in the future!
