December Absence.

I would like to talk about something a little topic heavy that which took me away for nearly all this month to solve.

On December 9th, I had received word from someone that they wanted a gift commission made out to them cancelled, and from then on spiraled a herald of events that have, since then, placed  great strain on me both mentally and emotionally.

If you've seen me vent on Twitter, then you may already know what this is about. If not, to summarize, I was used and manipulated in a way to hurt someone else, and Yggdra, currently aged 14 years, was used in sexual depictions for these acts.

Yggdra is a character that has been with me since my college years. She started out as an RP character and a character I used in my cartooning classes when I was still in school. Since then, she has been with me to the point at one time, she had an ask blog that started out with Kip.

I later decided to make her the main character for the webcomic project, and she's gone through so many changes in both her appearance and personality as a character.

As you can tell, there has been a lot of love that has gone into this character. I've had her since 2012.

So when I later come to find out she's been used in graphic sexual depictions and had suggestive art drawn of her, you have no idea the heartbreak I felt to see her viewed and drawn in such a grotesque way.

Guardia is a story that hasn't fully come to it's true meaning yet. It is a story about discovery, growth, and tackles heavy topics like racism and other types of international challenges. It's a story much like all else, told through the experiences of not just Yggdra, but everyone around her.

Taking someone's character and using them in such selfish acts is unacceptable. I love Yggdra, and would never promote to see her in any of the scenario I had to sit through while settling through this problem trying to solve it, especially since she is a minor aged character.

Please never do this. This had not only hurt me, but damaged me enough to consider cancelling Guardia because of one selfish act. But i love this project and I really want to reach far with it. 

If it weren't for the small little acts that happened in the Discord Chat while I was going through this 12 day debacle, Guardia would have been successfully ripped away from everyone who truly enjoys it and the characters therein.

So I want to thank a lot of people in the Guardia Discord chat for just being themselves and enjoying the comic, even if I've had a hard time getting the story rolling again. You saved me from making a heartbreaking decision and I owe it to you for giving me the motivation to fight through an incredibly dark time.

As such, now that the problem has currently been handled, I will be taking a few days recess to recoup myself to get back on track with work I need to catch up with.
