April Updates - Small Inquiry of the future of Patreon.

Hello all! It's another update time on a few things that have been going on, especially in my head with a certain topic that has been floating around for a while now.

Before I get to that, let's go ahead and cover a few things first, starting with the commission queue!

I am nearly caught up (Finally). I've been working diligently on trying to recover from the incident in December and after 4 long months, my numbers are finally becoming more manageable! Weekend work has so far been my only line of income for the time being while I work on chipping down the main queue, but once I get that number to at least 15 or so, I can finally continue on with the work schedule I had originally planned on myself, which means I can finally start on working on the Patreon Reward Queue next!

In addition to Patreon rewards, I also allocated all of the current 2022 rewards into one column so its easier for me to look at check it out on the Trello Board to see the current ongoing list!

I want to once again thank everyone for their unwavering patience while I continue to work my way through all of the back up work, it means a lot to me and makes a already stressful situation less than that. As per usual, any questions or concerns you have please bring it up to me while I continue to chip away at all these requests, I'm SO CLOSE to catching up!

Secondly, lets talk about Guardia
. While We've begun the chapter, you may have noticed I've only had a few early access posts available from time to time with a sporadic update schedule. This is...actually due to the commission queue itself since I've been working on comms on Guardia's work days, so it has been slightly difficult keeping things going on time, but I'm hoping this will change soon and I can get back to regular early access posting eventually. Until then I've decided to just update Guardia when I can, but as things cool down, I wish to try and put in time to get some concept art up to make up for it.

Lastly, is a topic that has been on my head for a while. This topic actually involves my future on Patreon.

As you know sometimes it is hard to switch off to different platforms and Lately Patreon's latest updates to their policies have not been the most agreeable, especially with how the situation with Ukraine had been handled.

If you know me, you know how much I absolutely adore Ko-fi. I use it to manage all of my commission receipts and data, and its currently my main source of income since my ankle injury had gotten worse. Ko-fi has been doing a lot of work trying to make a space for creatives to do what they love most and make a stable income, especially now that Ko-fi has memberships available, where you can support me just like on Patreon, only, less hassle and no fees!

If I decided that I wanted to switch to ko-fi full time, would you guys be okay with making the switch to a new home? With ko-fi's creative system, I can also add discounts to the tiers on commissions and shop items, and I would only have to recreate the tiers I have on here, added with those benefits. Ultimately, this would also be due cause to update the points system I currently have, or abolish it all together in favor of starting fresh with ko-fi's benefits.

Let me know what you think and if you'd be okay with making the switch, I'd love to hear your feedback on the matter! And if we're all square on it, I can perhaps think about making the move to Ko-fi more fluent and smooth in a few months or so.

Thats all for today, let me know what you think!

Comments

I would be fine with switching to ko-fi!

Alarm Frog

I’d be okay with switching if you think that’s the best option!~
