Lost Script: "Walter Gets Captured"

Originally written back in May 2019, a very different plan was in place to address the dramatic confrontation between Walter and his past. Long before the conception of Cage, I initially planned for a movie-length special, which began as a case, like any other: Walter, Bunny, and the gang ambush a group of Freeside thugs in what would seem like another thrilling finale, but this would be the beginning of an event that neither of the detectives could predict.

In short, Walter is captured by the Brotherhood of Steel (a process that nearly kills Bunny) and is taken away by none other than the young, up-and-coming elder Maxson. Expecting repercussions for his enclave involvement, the detective is surprised to find that he’s been detained over the murder of agent Kale, whom he killed in “Walter Meets Draco! The Friendly Deathclaw”.

While that plays out, a fatigued Bunny is rescued by none other than Draco himself out on the cliffs and is presented with no other choice than to assist her arch nemesis, if she wants to get Walter back. An ironic tale, considering it was Walter who betrayed his morals to retrieve the girl of his dreams at first.

At some point, I left the script alone, deciding to work on more present episodes. It cuts off right when Bunny is being introduced to an Enclave officer. Because of the way I steered the show (and introduced The Cage Chronicles), I left this concept behind and added it to the archive. Enjoy the window into my old way of writing, grammar mistakes and all.
