I live in Kansas City and i don't consider myself southern, but i've been to the south end of the state near Arkansas and it feels very southern down there so i guess the answer is i would consider the southern part of the state southern but Columbia(it about dead center of the state) and up to be Midwestern. I’m a big nerd of Geography (it was my minor in college) but I still couldn’t get a consensus to agree on an answer so here goes, could Missouri be considered southern? The southern bootheel of Missouri is only about 50 miles from the Northern Mississippi border. I know it is usually considered Midwest but as a southerner, I’ve always felt it was southern. If Kentucky and West Virginia are considered a part of the south, does Greg believe Missouri could be a transregional state? Thank you and keep up the great work!
