500 Patrons!

Wow, we really did it. 10 months in and we've reached a real milestone.

So many thanks to all of the patrons who've been here since the days when we had absolutely no idea what we were doing haha. And so many thanks to the newer patrons who have helped put us over this hurdle.

The patreon money that you have all been rad enough to contribute doesn't mean nearly as much to us as the satisfaction of knowing that we are not just screaming into the void. Still, even with the insane cost of living in NYC, it has allowed Jamie to stress way less about pitching editors for freelance work to make ends meet, it has allowed Andy to dedicate more time to research for his upcoming book(s), and for Sean to weather the periods of unemployment that are inevitable in the construction industry.

Until we abolish money (2020?) your donations are having a real material effect on our lives and we are greatly indebted to you all.

And how will we be paying it forward? We have some really big plans for 2019!

The stickers have been a huge hit, so we're working out how to get more cool merch into your hot little hands. (Finding a union ass-flap producer is almost as hard as finding a Sybian artisan, but we'll get there!)

We have been toying with the idea of doing some video stuff... old man Sean is trying to figure out what Twitch is, but we've managed to make an account at least! Maybe livestreams of recordings or MST3K-type shit-talking over films in the near future?

Also, last week Sean recorded another episode of 'History is a Weapon' that will drop on Wednesday... featuring none other than Chapo Trap House's Matt Christman. And this may not be a simple one-off *nudge nudge wink wink*

Tomorrow we are recording with Leslie Lee III from the amazing podcast Struggle Session as a prelude to Jamie's upcoming cultural criticism series 'Proletkult.'

And lastly, we were seriously heartened to meet listeners in person at the MR live show. It was such an amazing experience to put faces to names that we are working on the logistics for a live show of our own in the near future.

The greatest dream would be to reach the point where we could do a tour or two and meet all of our amazing patrons and listeners. We will keep plugging away at this Antifada thing and with your continued support we might be able to hit the road sooner rather than later.

Again, thanks so much to everyone who's helped us get to where we are. We could not be happier with or more humbled by the response we've gotten. Yous are the best!

Solidarity forever,

AP Andy, Jamie Peck and Sean KB

P.S. huge shoutout to the IRL pod friends we've made along the way: Brett O'Shea, Jake Flores, Alex Ptak, Katie Halper, Brie, Trevor, Virgil, Matt & Will
